Build

• The octopus sits on a drum stool behind the kit: a rounded head, two expressive eyes, and exactly eight arms with suckers on their undersides.
• Every arm clearly grows out of the body, and every arm is busy: several swing drumsticks, one presses the bass-drum pedal, one works the hi-hat pedal, and the rest hit a cymbal or grip the stool.
• A complete kit any drummer would recognize: bass drum with pedal, snare, two rack toms, a floor tom, hi-hat, and crash and ride cymbals on stands.
• Each drumstick is gripped at one end by an arm, and its tip touches the drum or cymbal it is hitting. A few motion arcs and one tilted cymbal sell the beat.
